What is it?
Bicycle booster is a type of external electric device, which provides auxiliary power for ordinary bicycles by install motor, battery and transmission device. It has two important features: power assistance and long endurance, which reduces the burden of riding by motor-driven wheels, and is suitable for long-distance commuting or hill-climbing. A good electric booster kit is one that complies with certain requirements, such as ebike compatibility, motor type, battery capacity, and legal considerations, amongst others.
Different Types
Different kits are designed for various types, such as mountain bikes, road bikes, or cruisers. The booster is mainly divided into two types according to different installation methods: hub motor and center motor. The booster can be install in the rear or the front wheel, and the middle part of the frame to provide assistance to the bicycle. Each of the three types of boosters has its own advantages.
Hub motor is relatively cheaper than other congeneric products. The front drive provides strong power for climbing hills. Since the motor is placed in the front, it somewhat balances the weight of the bike in both the front and rear directions, and also increases stability during braking.
Rear-wheel drive is easy to install. It is of great compatibility, providing assistance by the friction between the rubber wheel and the bike wheel.
Mid-drive motor has simple structure with without affecting the central balance of the bike. Users can choose different motors and mounting positions according to different needs.

Z8 Electric speed booster drives the bike tire's rotation through contact between the motorized the friction wheel and the bike tire to achieve power-assisted cycling. It contains few main components including host machine, battery, thumb throttle, magnetic switch and magnet.
Host machine: The core of the system, housing the motor and clutch. It connects to other components and attaches to the bicycle frame near the pedals. The motor provides the driving force, while the clutch ensures smooth engagement and disengagement of the motor power.
Battery: An external 48V battery with a discharge current of at least 15A. It powers the motor and other electrical components. The battery capacity determines the range of the electric assist. The kit is compatible with batteries of different capacities (5.2Ah and 9 Ah), which can be flexibly selected according to your riding needs.
Thumb Throttle: Mounted on the handlebar. It allows you to control the speed and power of the motor. By twisting the throttle, you can increase or decrease the motor's output, thus controlling the bicycle's speed.
Magnetic Switch and Magnet: Installed on the brake lever and handlebar. When you apply the brakes, the magnetic switch detects the magnet and cuts off the motor power, ensuring safety during braking.
